Assholes Hack Z Communications
So this just happened today:
Just what in the hell? A follow up via their Facebook page asks why they went after zcommunications:
There’s no way to currently know whether these people any more serious than to take down a site. Well, there is but I’m not the guy to do it. It’s really just annoying as fuck.
Another thing that’s super annoying is the type of dialogue we’re having on the ISIL threat. A threat really depends on who it’s a threat to… us?
I always like to break things down in two ways because polarization in this country is right down the middle. One side, locally, would have us armed to the teeth and the other side would put more restrictions on arms. In the case of foreign solutions, one side would want us to be more aggressive while the other side would want to be more diplomatic. So what am I supposed to do now? (“The Neo-Con’s ISIL Fear Campaign“)
The Pew research center came out with a new poll last week that says Blacks are More Likely than Whites to Say Brown’s Shooting Raises Racial Issues.
Already with the current situation, I can see so many holes in this; just by the fact that whites have been surveyed with a question that already taps into their biases.
If being black or white were interchangeable, this poll would make sense. Unless you have complete Vitiligo, being white your entire life already counts you out.
Why would a white person say there’s a race issue when they’ve never been harassed as a minority community has. If it’s more complicated than that, they should have created a poll that’s designed to be complicated. This is complete garbage.
Earlier in the week, someone said that the reason why black people are prone to be arrested more is because of a culture of crime. I’ll look for the source as I don’t have it now but it’s there and one of the many views around the region of support for Darren Wilson.
Which brings up another issue with this that anyone can do whatever they want in this country and thanks to the internet, people can raise money for a murderer if they want to. It’s interesting to me that even with people are are likely to side with Wilson are also asking that we wait for the facts to come out first. And many on that side even get super upset because of the attention demanding that everyone wait. So, what are we supposed to do? Nothing until everyone completes their investigation? (“Don’t Get Upset About Crowd funding A Protected Murderer“)
There was some news earlier in the week about a woman who fired a loaded gun at what she thought was a intruder, and it turned out to be her 7-year old grandson. (“Fear and Stupidity Don’t Mix”) No doubt that she’s distraught by the whole thing, as she didn’t kill him, but fear is every where and people need to just calm the fuck down!
The other issue here is with the agreement with how law enforcement enforces the law. This is constantly being tested daily in Ferguson with people inciting violence. Should the response be militarized or not?
The Middle East
Now that focus is centered on the Middle East again, there’s news of an Arab meeting that’s to be held very soon regarding the state of ISIL as it spreads through the region.
Excuse me for being immature about this but I can’t help but think about how the Nazis went through and invaded Europe during the first half of the twentieth century.
This is as close as it gets to that with the established Islamic state in Iraq and Syria. During the week it was explained how ISIL won’t necessarily need to spread any further as they already control quite a bit of territory now, and still have an impact where they are.
But they’ve already stated they would try Lebanon and even take Jordan. Currently ISIL flags have been spotted in those areas already. Kind of hints that they might already be there, but there’s also a good chance they’re here already. I mean, come on people! Common sense!
Even if that’s the case, ISIL is still testing the Kurds as they work to reorganize their own government whether it’s with Baghdad or not. (“It Was Just A Matter Of Time Before The Kurds Got Tested“)
Just for cases of posterity, the idea was that the United States would unite with Syria or somehow provide airstrikes within Syria. This all parallels the question of how we’re suddenly, as American people, supposed to support an alliance with Assad to do that. I know the memory of people is short but that chemical attack shit on Syrian people and barrel bombs are still on many of our minds. Anyone with a little time can do the research to find that’s still the case. (“How much credibility does Washington have for Americans to be okay in siding with Assad?”)
And again, the pressure from the bloodthirsty hawks, hardliners and neo-cons on the administration to put boots on the ground, or provide airstrikes, is so far, not enough to make the administration budge and happily, it looks to me like the Administration isn’t going to do either, which is exactly what needs to happen! (“The Obama administration should stay the course and not go to Syria“)
